The JS Ranch and Studio is located in the community of Whitesboro, TX and is owned and operated by Jimmy and Heidi Staples. Both Jimmy and Heidi work as artist's as well run the Ranches day to day operations which involve managing their cattle breeding program, starting colts and training stock dogs for ranch work. Jimmy also heads the NCTC Visual Arts Department where he teaches Sculpture, Painting, Drawing and Design. The JS Ranches bucking cattle breeding program borrows from contemporary bloodlines in an effort to produce top athletes. While utilizing quality genetics will better ones odds, it is no guarantee that you will get a superior animal. With this in mind we take the time to condition our bulls through both, nutrition and exercise, as well as getting them accustomed to being handled. After this additional help we do as every one else does; hope for the best. If they do not buck after ample time to prove themselves, then regardless of their breeding, they go to the sale barn and will not be offered for sale to the rodeo industry. |
